Easter and more

We had a wonderful Easter weekend celebrating our risen Savior.  My parents came down on Friday and we managed to squeeze a lot of fun into just 2 ½ days with them.  Friday evening we went to the Good Friday service at our church where I was part of the new choir, Mosaic.  We basically sang back up to Jonathan and it was a lot of fun.  I have really missed being in a choir so this has been a real joy for me.  We started off Saturday morning with donuts from Round Rock Donuts then headed to the mall for an attempt at pictures with the Easter Bunny.  Notice the word ATTEMPT J
After lunch and hitting a few more stores we headed home so Miss Priss could take a nap and Mommy and Nana could work on lunch for Sunday.  Oh and lets not forget Daddy and Tata dyed the Easter eggs.  They turned out so pretty and they were very proud.

Saturday night we had a delicious dinner at The Oasis while enjoying the beautiful view.

After an amazing worship service Sunday morning we came home and had lunch and an Easter egg hunt with our very dear friends and my parents.

Yesterday morning we had another sonogram to see our precious baby boy.  The Dr. said all in all things look the same as before.  We continue to appreciate your prayers more than you know.  Isaac is starting to move around quite a bit and I am trying to soak up every moment I have with him.

I have another prayer request as well.  My really good friend Heather, who is in the pictures above, has a sister named Sarah.  Sarah has also become a friend of mine over the past few years.  When Sarah was 4 years old she was diagnosed with Leukemia and after months of treatment she beat it and has been in remission for a long time.  She just turned 27 and was diagnosed with it again this past Friday, although it is a different type.  They have already started chemotherapy on her and she will be in the hospital for at least 3 weeks.  Please pray for this special family.  Sarah is very positive and has great faith, but this is not an easy road.  She really needs a bone marrow transplant so please pray that her brother or sister is a match.  If you would like to help her they are asking for blood and platelet donations at any Carter’s Blood Care Center.  The number you can give them is 050620 to make sure she gets credit for the donation.  You do not have to be the same blood type as her.  Feel free to contact me for more info.

I am emotionally tired.  I am stressed.  Not worried, but just stressed.  I feel like it is just one thing after another and I feel so out of control, but I know God is good.  He really is. Our Pastor, Donnie reminded us on Friday after learning about Sarah, God is not surprised by any of this.  I am finding the most comfort in that right now.  He has provided for me and taken care of me my whole life and I know it will not be any different in the coming months, but it is still hard.

Thank you all for taking the time to read about our life and for continually praying for us.  We love you!

  1. I Kings 19 -- Elijah's stress load--has always been a comfort to me and to others when I taught from it. God has made us human, and He knows how much we can take. I find great peace in that thought.

I love that photo of Isaac. He looks like Jonathan.
